How to play Navak
Navak is a free multiplayer pirate ship battle game you play in your browser. Steer your ship between tropical islands, fire cannons at rival captains, plunder their gold and climb the live leaderboard. It works on phones, tablets and computers, with no download and no account.
The goal
Sink rivals, plunder gold, rule the sea. Every coin and every ship you sink adds to your score. Your ship grows as your score rises, so the biggest ships on the sea belong to the best captains. If your hull reaches zero you sink, your score resets, and you can set sail again straight away.
Controls
Phone and tablet
- Drag anywhere to steer. Your ship turns toward your finger.
- Hold the Fire button (bottom right) to shoot.
Computer
- Mouse: point where you want to sail.
- Space: fire cannons.
- A / D: turn left or right.
Your ship always sails forward. You choose the heading, not the speed, so plan your turns.
Rules and scoring
- Gold coins are scattered across the sea. Each one is worth 10 points and patches your hull a little.
- Sinking a ship is worth 60 points, and the wreck spills coins for anyone nearby.
- Cannonballs fly straight and fall short after a moment. They stop at the shore, so islands are cover.
- Ramming another ship damages both of you.
- Islands block ships. You slide along the coast instead of sailing onto land.
- Bigger ships are easier to hit and turn into slower sailors, so growth is a trade-off.
- New ships get a short spawn shield, so you can't be sunk the moment you arrive.
Tips from the crow's nest
- Lead your shots: aim where a ship will be, not where it is.
- Fight near islands. Put land between you and a bigger ship to break its fire.
- Pick up the coins a sunken ship drops before someone else does.
- Small ships are quick. Circle a big ship and fire from its side.
- Low on hull? Sail away and collect coins to patch it before you fight again.
Who you play with
Everyone joins the same sea, up to 24 captains at once. When the sea is quiet, computer-controlled ships marked AI on the leaderboard keep the action going, and they leave as real players arrive. Pick a sail colour and a captain's name before you set sail; your own ship is always marked in gold.
